Yes, living the Good Life means that you can have 100% confidence that the hotel or resort price you get is the lowest price vs. public websites. In fact, if you find a lower price on any hotel we offer, we will not only match the price, but we'll refund you an additional 10% of the difference.
Beware of the 'Gotcha's' from Public Websites.
Many times members believe they found a lower price, only to find out that the comparison was not apples to apples. Some things to look out for include:
CANCELLATION POLICY: Some room rates are NON-cancellable, and typically, those room have a lower rate than rooms that are FULLY cancellable. As a result, most public websites push these rates to the top. Be sure to check that the cancellation policies are exactly the same.
YOU PAY PAGE: Many times you may think that another website is offering a better rate, however, most public internet sites intentionally do not show the full price that you will pay until you go to the YOU PAY PAGE, where all of their taxes, service charges and fees are added in. You must therefore go to the YOU PAY PAGE on both the competing website, and the GOODLIFE USA website for your comparison.
TAXES & RESORT FEES: Many websites do not charge tax on the rate, even on the YOU PAY PAGE, and instead tell you to pay the tax at the resort when you check in. This is an important distinction to check. Lastly, some websites include or don't include the daily RESORT FEE, so be sure to check for this as well.
What Exactly is an "Apples to Apples" Comparison?
We guarantee our pricing against any other published pricing available to the general public, for the same exact travel. At a minimum, this means, the same arrival and departure dates, the same property, the same room type, the same cancellation policy (refundable vs. non-refundable, or other distinctions). Notwithstanding the foregoing, we cannot match rates that have been acquired through auction or bid, rates that have been obtained on a private website that requires a user id and/or password (like AAA or AARP), or Internet rates for which we cannot verify the price and exact itinerary.
